Teach Pendant
The teach pendant essentially mimics the most recent GUI - so the user can control & monitor the robot , record robot moves & play them back via a handheld device instead of having to plug into a PC. This is also useful for debug purpose when you are developing software from a 3rd party host to control the robot - ie it can be used as a protocol analyser to monitor signals from the robot and importantly capture the serial byte data from the 3rd party host. A useful known frame of reference for software development and debug.
