Robot Arm Model Range

The NeuroArm™ Range of Robotic Arm Systems were designed to meet both our research needs and the requirements of our customers. These Robot arms were designed to incorporate various 'mechanical smarts'. The designs incorporate enough 'base level' mechanics, electromechanics & electronics to provide a flexible & powerful platform from which the researcher, educationalist or product developer can then implement their own application.

A common design theme throughout the range of our Robot Arms and associated interfaces - is user safety. There is a delicate design balance between practical and useable payload, reach & speed - while maintaining safety that allows flexible interaction with people. There are plenty of high powered robot arms on the market that need to be placed behind cages with safety interlocks. Although such robots can supply the power required to carry out real world practical tasks - they cannot operate in close vicinity to people, as well as being prohibitively expensive for typical domestic & service robot applications. At the other end of the spectrum - there are several low cost robotic arms aimed at education and hobbyists. These however typically have limited reach and low payload capabilities that do provide for a more safe interaction with people - but the low performance limits the actual practical use in a real world situation

The NeuroArm Manipulator system coupled with the Human-Robot Interaction Safety System serves to bridge this gap - offering a robotic arm system that offers practical reach and payload performance for real world tasks while at the same time maximising on human-robot interaction safety. These unique design features are the result of several years development implemented by highly specialised designers in the field. With a growing need and resulting trend in the development and deployment of robotics within the service sector and robots for assisting the elderly & disabled - this aforementioned robot arm safety/performance gap needs to be addressed. Our robotic arm systems, incorporating various electromechanical smarts - enable a powerful and unique platform for researchers and developers to focus on the robotics / artificial intelligence challenges at the application level.
